EBRAINS 2.0 – Management and analysis of big data in the field of advanced fluorescence microscopy

The position involves carrying out the following activities:
• ensure big-data analysis operations in the field of advanced high-resolution fluorescence microscopy, such as light-sheet and two-photon microscopy for brain and mouse mapping;
• ensure the development of customized software applications for the management of data analysis also ensuring image post-processing, archiving, atlassing, automatic segmentation of images using artificial neural networks;
• guarantee the sharing of data produced during acquisitions through the EBRAINS platform following the principles of FAIR data.

In addition to the skills required to carry out the activities listed above, the following knowledge is required:
• programming (Python, C++, Bash, Linus);
• analysis and processing of big data;
• control software and electronics
• good command of written and spoken English.

Finally, the following professional skills are required:
• collaboration: actively contributing to the achievement of a common result, interacting with colleagues even remotely – through the sharing of information, the valorisation of the contribution of others, the search for synergies and reducing conflicts;
