The Zaidel-Bar Lab invites highly motivated students to join its effort to decipher how the cytoskeleton is regulated during development and in physiology. The lab takes a multi-scale approach from single proteins to the organism and system level, using a variety of cutting-edge technologies, most notably advanced microscopy, in the nematode C. elegans. With our top-quality spinning-disc microscope, we use live imaging, FARP, laser ablations and super resolution methods to resolve interesting scientific questions. Our goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms cells and tissues employ to change shape, migrate, sense, and generate forces that are essential for life.
The Zaidel-Bar lab is located in Tel-Aviv University, which is the leading interdisciplinary research and teaching university in Israel. The scientific environment is dynamic and collaborative, and students will have numerous opportunities to interact and collaborate with excellent scientists from all over the world. Lectures and courses are all in English.
