German BioImaging – Society for Microscopy and Image Analysis e.V. (GerBI) is the central network of the bioimaging community in Germany. We connect researchers, professionals, students and core facilities in the fields of microscopy, image data analysis and image data management in the life sciences. Our mission: enable scientific exchange, strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, and communicate the value of imaging science to the public.
 
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive **Project Coordinator **to join and strengthen our management office team. This role comes with high autonomy, diverse tasks, and the opportunity to shape and grow within the organization. Over time, this position could evolve to include broader leadership responsibilities. Your Tasks
– Coordinate and foster exchange within the GerBI community
– Represent the society at national and international events
– Organize in-person and online events and training courses
– Prepare reports and communications in German and English
– Manage membership, budgeting, third-party funding and accounting
– Shape our website and boost our social media presence
 
 

What we’re looking for

  • Doctorate in a natural science or engineering discipline – or equivalent experience if you’ve taken a different path or achieved something exceptional.
  • Structured, self-driven, and communicative personality
  • Strong organizational skills and digital fluency
  • Excellent spoken and written German (>C1) and English
  • Based in Germany (our team members work remotely from Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Heidelberg & Dresden)

This is a 50-100% position, fully remote, based in Germany.
