Location/Region: This position is located in Chicago, IL.
What’s the role?
As a Field Service Engineer Intern, you’ll undergo technical training and on-the-job experiences designed to prepare you for success.
Sound Interesting?
Here’s what you’ll do:
– Successfully completing technical training to acquire foundational knowledge of ZEISS microscopy equipment.
– Demonstrating technical proficiency by applying classroom concepts in real-world settings.
– Participating actively in on-the-job training (OJT), assisting experienced FSEs, and working in customer environments.
– Caring for ZEISS tools and equipment with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
– Delivering a presentation at the end of the program to showcase your learning and contributions.
Do you qualify?
– Must reside within the region.
– Enrolled in a 4-year degree program, graduating in Dec 2025 or Spring 2026 .
– Passion for electronics, mechanics, and problem-solving.
– Willingness to troubleshoot across multiple areas, including software, electronics, optics, and mechanical systems.
– Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers.
– Proven ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as part of a collaborative team.
Additional Details
– This is a customer-facing role that involves travel to various lab and institutional locations.
– Adherence to ZEISS Corporate Travel Policy and safety standards is required.
– The internship culminates with a presentation to peers and management, highlighting your growth and achievements.
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00
