FPbase

Posted on 24 January 2019

FPbase is a searchable, community-editable database of fluorescent proteins (FPs) and their properties, which was designed and created by Talley Lambert at Harvard Medical School. The page for each FP includes the excitation and emission spectra, photostability, sequence, structure, evolution lineages and references. The tools on the site can be used to compare different FPs, build a spectra viewer customised to your own microscope(s), calculate FRET efficiency and more!
