University Researcher in Bioimaging

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The tasks performed by a university researcher include conducting independent research, leading research projects, raising funding for research, as well as teaching and supervision. The university researcher uses one third of their working hours to contribute to teaching and supervision. The tasks are specified below:
Research
– Conduct high-level research that uses or develops advanced light microscopy and image analysis.
– Collaborate actively with existing research groups within the Biocity Turku Campus and the broader academic community.
– Disseminate research through high-quality publications, conferences, and workshops.
– Contribute to a vibrant research environment by participating in seminars, collaborations, and mentoring. 
Teaching
Coordinate advanced-level courses (Master’s and PhD level) in:
– Advanced light microscopy methods
– Image analysis techniques
– Cytoskeletal research
– Organize and lead hands-on workshops in advanced microscopy and image analysis.
– Contribute to the development and coordination of the international Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Imaging (BIMA) that is jointly run with the University of Turku.
– Support the administrative and outreach activities related to the Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Imaging (BIMA).
