Visualizing membrane dynamics by electron microscopy
Posted on 18 May 2023
“The second webinar of our volume EM series on Bitesizebio.com. Please join Shigeki Watanabe (John Hopkins University) and Ron Kelley (Thermo Fisher) who will present on Visualizing membrane dynamics by electron microscopy, showcasing how cutting-edge electron microscopy techniques and volume imaging can capture fast, dynamic membrane and vesicle remodeling events during synaptic transmission at the ultrastructural level. Professor Watanabe and lab currently uses the Hydra Plasma-FIB in the research to understand how vesicle dynamics regulate neurotransmission.”
