I'm Scientific Project Manager at Euro-BioImaging. Euro-BioImaging is a European Research Infrastructure which focuses on providing open access to cutting-edge imaging technologies to all researchers. My specific focus is on user access management and on new technologies within Euro-BioImaging. I studied Molecular Biotechnology at TU Dresden, Germany and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Bath, UK. I did my PhD at EMBL studying the mechanics of cell divisions in very large cells, specifically starfish oocytes. After my PhD, I moved to my postdoc lab at Tufts University in Boston working on regeneration in planaria flatworms. Throughout my research, microscopy, particularly fluorescence microscopy, has been the connecting factor and also the thing that made me first fall in love with science. I've used a wide variety of imaging tools, from AFM and EM to confocal and lightsheet systems and have developed my own image analysis algorithms. I joined the Euro-BioImaging team in June 2020.
