We’re the Light Microscopy Facility at MDI Biological Laboratory. We train researchers to produce rigorous, quantitative imaging data — and this channel teaches the fundamentals to everyone. One concept. One minute. No filler. Accurate enough for a PI, clear enough if you’ve never touched a microscope. The series is a curriculum — each video builds on the last: Path A — Fundamentals: Optics, contrast, fluorescence, confocal, light sheet, detectors, sample prep, image analysis. Path B — Objective Lenses: Aberrations, immersion media, specialty objectives, choosing the right lens. Path C — Advanced Techniques: Super-resolution, FRET, FLIM, multiphoton, expansion microscopy. Path D — Bioimage Analysis: Turning images into numbers. Segmentation, colocalization, deconvolution, reproducibility. Start with A01 or jump to any topic. New videos weekly.
