Early-career researcher event at Biologists @ 100

The Biologists @ 100 conference includes an early-career researcher (ECR) session on Monday 24 March, organised by British Society for Cell Biology (BSCB) and British Society for Developmental Biology (BSDB) ECR reps Anahi Binagui-Casas, Emily Lucas and Aymen al-Rawi and The Company of Biologists. The workshop focusses on career opportunities inside and outside of academia.

Our featured image, acquired by Jiwon Lee, is a 3D rendering model of Plasmodium falciparum showing the complex organisation of cellular organelles within the malaria parasite. Using a focused ion beam scanning electron microscope (FIB-SEM), a series of high resolution 2D images were acquired. The image stack was aligned and each organelle was segmented in
