Trustee Directors – The Company of Biologists
Posted by FocalPlane, on 26 September 2023
The Company of Biologists is a not-for-profit publishing organisation dedicated to supporting and inspiring the biological community through scientific journals, meetings and grants. The Company publishes five specialist peer-reviewed journals: Development, Journal of Cell Science, Journal of Experimental Biology, Disease Models & Mechanisms and Biology Open.
We are looking to appoint new Trustee Directors to our Board – both Trustees in relevant scientific disciplines, as well as non-scientific Trustees who have experience of management and leadership in professional services. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of CoB, delegating day-to-day management and decision making to a senior management team. The Board meets quarterly to maintain oversight of the CoB’s performance, approve new business initiatives and monitor that management is acting in accordance with agreed strategy.
