Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience and Cancer – New York City

Job Description

The Benson and Bravo-Cordero Labs at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City are recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow for a collaborative project that bridges the fields of neuroscience and cancer.

This is an opportunity to work with a highly motivated team on a series of questions that rely on microscopy-based strategies including 2-photon and light sheet, and some experience in these areas is a plus. Visit Bravo-Cordero Lab and Benson Lab for detailed information.

The successful applicant will join a diverse scientific community, and the environment offers ample opportunities for interacting with clinicians and researchers.

Qualifications

Highly motivated and creative Ph.D., with the possibility to apply for postdoctoral fellowships. The position requires a PhD in one of the related fields, cancer or neuroscience.

Skills with imaging techniques to study biological processes and mouse models will be highly valued.

The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as demonstrate a strong commitment to team-based work.

Excellent communication skills in written and oral English are essential.
