Imaging 4 All – 2nd Call for Applications Now Open!
Posted by deniz.saltukoglu, on 20 May 2025
Global BioImaging (GBI), the international network of cutting-edge bioimaging facilities and communities, has launched the second open call for Imaging 4 All (i4A) — a funding programme that supports researchers and imaging facility professionals based in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Through i4A, applicants can receive fully funded support to:
- Visit open-access imaging facilities and laboratories with imaging equipment worldwide to conduct experiments or develop imaging-related skills, or
- Participate in hand-on training courses and workshops in biological and biomedical imaging.
The funding covers travel, accommodation and subsistence costs, facility access, service and training course fees, visa expenses, and project-related consumables.
We invite interested researchers and imaging scientists based in LMICs to contact the i4A team with a short description of their projects or training goals. We also encourage imaging facilities and laboratories working with imaging technologies around the world to spread the word, connect with collaborators and users in LMICs, and consider hosting an i4A grantee.
This programme is generously funded by the Wellcome Trust.

⏳ Application deadline: August 15
