Join the UK Euro-BioImaging Node – Expression of Interest Open Until 2 December 2025

We’re delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for UK biological bioimaging facilities to join the established UK Euro-BioImaging Node as part of our strategic expansion.

Important: This call is specifically for biological imaging facilities to expand the existing UK Node. This is separate from the planned biomedical Node imaging sites, which will be established later in 2026 after online consultations on the 23 Oct and 11 Nov. If you operate biomedical imaging facilities, please note that a separate consultation process has already been communicated about those capabilities.

Background: The UK Node of Euro-BioImaging has received support from UKRI-BBSRC and UKRI-MRC to enhance its activities and expand beyond the current seven successful sites. These existing sites have collectively served almost 200 external users and produced 147 scientific publications in 2024 alone, demonstrating the significant impact of this network model.

Join the webinar to learn more about the application process, ask questions, and understand what joining the UK Euro-BioImaging Node involves. This is an opportunity to clarify requirements before submitting your Expression of Interest.

What We’re Looking For:

• UK-based imaging facilities with at least 20% capacity available for wider EuBI community use
• Facilities demonstrating technical and scientific excellence
• Strong capability for user access and management
• Sustainable operations supported for at least the next 5 years
• Commitment to training and community engagement

Application Requirements:

• Single or multi-site facilities offering added value
• Evidence of world-class capabilities and scientific impact
• Clear procedures for external user access and support
• Letters of commitment and support from users and institutions
