The winner of the ELMI/FocalPlane image contest is…

We hope that you enjoyed the over 60 stunning images of the ELMI/FocalPlane image contest as much as we did. Many thanks to everyone who voted (we are sure it was not easy to select just one favourite image!). In addition to the public vote, the organisers of the ELMI2022 conference also set up an expert judging panel; therefore, we have two winners:

Jury prize: Electric love by Ciarán Butler-Hallissey (the image will feature on the cover of Journal of Cell Science in the first August issue)

Audience prize: The vesicular world of lysosomes and lipid droplets by Carolina Franco
