Bridging Imaging Users to Imaging Analysis – 2024
Posted by Suganya Sivagurunathan, on 13 November 2024
The Center for Open Bioimage Analysis (COBA), BioImaging North America (BINA), the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS), and Global BioImage Analysts (GloBIAS) are conducting a biennial survey to understand the needs of the imaging community and shape future tools and resources for image analysis.
What is image analysis? If you’ve made quantitative measurements on your microscopy images-even on a single image-you’re the perfect person to take this survey.
Another survey? Why? Because we want to help you more effectively. By learning more about your image analysis challenges, we can channel our efforts into developing tools and materials that will truly make a difference in your work.
How long does it take? Just a few minutes! It can be as quick as 5 minutes, or if you’re interested in providing more detailed feedback, you can spend 15 minutes on open-ended questions.
What’s in it for me? You’re making bioimage analysis easier for yourself and your peers. Your input will directly guide new tool and resource development based on what’s most needed.
Were promises from past surveys kept? Absolutely! Our surveys in 2020 and 2022 highlighted the need for written and video tutorials, a central hub for online resources, and better segmentation tools—all of which we’ve been working to make available to the community.
