FocalPlane features… meets preLights

For our second collaborative FocalPlane features… webinar we have teamed up with preLights, our sister community site. This webinar will be hosted by Felipe Del Valle Batalla (University of Edinburgh, UK) and Vibha Singh (Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower (UHN), Canada), two members of the preLights community (known as preLighters), who have selected two recent cell biology preprints that link mechanics and signalling.

In the webinar, Felipe and Vibha will present a ‘preLight’ of their selected preprint followed by research talks from the authors. Felipe has invited Carmen Rodilla-Ramírez (Freie Universität Berlin, Germany) to discuss their research investigating the link between T cell protrusions and CAR signalling using live cell imaging and STED microscopy. While Vibha has invited Eva Mejia-Ramirez (The Bellvitge Institute for Biomedical Research, Spain) to discuss their research interrogating the role of RhoA in stem cells ageing using confocal microscopy, image analysis and nanoidentation. The webinar will conclude with a panel discussion bringing together common research themes and a look at the preprint landscape.
