2026 CCP-volumeEM Community Meeting

Posted by , on 26 October 2026

Hello,

With the 2026 CCP-volumeEM Community Meeting next month, we wanted to send a friendly reminder and share some highlights from the programme.

You are invited to join us on Wednesday, 18 November at the National Railway Museum in York, as we bring together the volume electron microscopy community to reflect on recent progress, explore emerging challenges and help shape future priorities for CCP-volumeEM.

We’re delighted to have a fantastic line-up of speakers, including Professor Peter O’Toole (University of York), who will discuss the future of research infrastructure, funding, sustainability and careers, and Dr Christian Tischer (EMBL), who will explore scalable IT infrastructure for bioimage analysis.

We’ll also hear updates from the CCP-volumeEM team on progress over the past year, including new computational tools, software resources, workflows, training and community-building activities.

The afternoon will include a panel discussion chaired by Professor Peter O’Toole, followed by interactive breakout sessions where attendees can share their perspectives and help identify priorities for the next phase of CCP-volumeEM.
