Journal of Cell Science Special Issue: Cell Biology of the Nucleus
Posted by FocalPlane, on 6 July 2026
Journal of Cell Science’s special issue on the cell biology of the nucleus is now complete. In their Editorial, Megan King and Abby Buchwalter discuss the themes of the special issue, including the connections between the nucleus and cytoskeleton, nuclear mechanics, nuclear lipids, the nuclear pore complex and nuclear transport, the nuclear lamina, chromatin and chromosomes and nuclear scaling. Read the full Editorial to find out more about the research in this issue.
We’ll be celebrating the issue in a special webinar hosted by the Nuclear Pore and Nuclear Transport webinar series organised by Vasilisa Aksenova and Mary Dasso. The webinar will be on Monday 13 July at 5pm BST (UTC+1). Join us to hear talks from Ayse Turkmen, Andrew D Stephens and Ralph Kehlenbach on their research published in our Cell Biology of the Nucleus Special Issue.
