Journal of Cell Science Special Issue: Imaging Cell Architecture and Dynamics
Posted by Helen Zenner, on 5 November 2024
Journal of Cell Science’s Special Issue on Imaging Cell Architecture and Dynamics is now complete. The original research in this Issue, guest edited by Lucy Collinson and Guillaume Jacquemet, covers a diverse range of imaging methodologies including CLEM, super-resolution imaging, volume EM, high-throughput imaging, FRET, expansion microscopy, mesoscopy and immuno-SEM, as well as showcasing new bioimage analysis tools and pipelines. You can read the Editorial from Lucy and Guillaume here: https://journals.biologists.com/jcs/article/137/20/jcs263575/362547/Imaging-cell-architecture-and-dynamics
The issue also includes Perspectives and Reviews that introduce expertise and techniques that are, so far, less commonly used amongst cell biologists.

In addition to all this exciting science, 25 trees were planted in our Forest of Biologists, on behalf of the authors of articles in our Special Issue, while ancient woodland in the Lake District, UK was preserved on behalf of the peer reviewers of this research.
We are accepting submissions for our Special Issue on Cilia and Flagella: from Basic Biology to Disease, which will be coordinated by Pleasantine Mill and Lotte Pedersen. Submission deadline: 1 March 2025.
